ABOUT
Maryam Majid bin Theneya ranked number 1 in the Federal National Council Elections 2019, to be the first women to be elected for the Emirate of Dubai after the empowerment decree issued by H H Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, President of The United Arab Emirates, declaring 50% of FNC Members for women.
Occupied the position of Government Communication Director at Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation. Also occupied the position of Communication and IT Director at Dubai Foundation for Women and Children, and many leading roles at Dubai Courts and Engineers Office of H. H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice President Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
Graduated with distinction from Higher Colleges of Technology, majoring Business Information Technology. Possessed many professional certification in Leadership like Women Leadership Exchange Program and Protocol Management. High skills of leading teams and groups towards achieving goals.
Obtains 22 years of work experience varied in different sectors from Government to Private to Non-profit Organization. Believes in importance of digital awareness and devoted this believe to elevate the awareness campaigns to eliminate violence against women and children into a digital campaigns in alignment with the government strategy.
The experience gained in Communication allowed high level international participation and presence with the Royal Family of Sweden, the founder of Global Child Forum, which resulted in hosting HRH Queen Silvia, queen of Sweden in Dubai Foundation for Women and Children. Also resulted in hosting The Duchess of Cornwell, Camila, during her visit with HRH Princess Charles prince of wales during their visit to UAE.
