ABOUT
Rana has more than 13 years experience in the law profession covering corporate
and commercial advisory, M&As and joint ventures, labour and employment, and
corporate governance.
Rana joined BHGE (previously known as GE Oil and Gas) in October 2014. In her
current role as Senior Counsel, MENAT, Rana supports the business by providing legal
support and strategic advise to the complete portfolio of Product Companies across
MENAT through managing, drafting and controlling all legal matters, strategies and
business transactions.
Additionally, Rana is the Geo-Market Legal for Saudi, Bahrain and UAE. She supports
the business in these jurisdictions by analyzing legal risks, provides mitigation plans,
manages customers’ relationships and partners with business leaders to drive key
initiatives and closure of key deals.
Rana is very passionate about empowerment, motivational development, building
the culture of trust within organizations and leadership generally within BHGE
and outside. She was part of a program within BHGE that targets only female
professionals to develop them into leadership roles by providing guidance and
coaching. Rana attends different workshops and conferences as speaker about
women empowerment in the law profession and gender diversity.
Before joining GE, Rana spent around 4 years at DLA Piper Middle East LLP head
offices in MENAT, one of the biggest international law firms with more than 31 offices
globally. Before that, Rana trained and worked with one of the top five law firms in
Jordan.
Rana holds a Master degree in Law (LLM in Commercial Law) from University of
Bristol, England.
