Train your brain – The morning routine we all should implement.

They once used to say ‘breakfast is the most important meal of the deal.’ I actually think that was a metaphor for a different kind of breakfast. A different kind of emphasis on the importance of what we consume in the morning. Studies have shown that how we approach the beginning of our day truly does impact the rest of it. So what is the ‘meal’ we feed our minds in the morning?

These are the power practices for staying grounded, feeling good, and staying in flow of your purpose so you can live good days. Enjoying your days individually amount to a good life.

1. Wake up and be grateful.

You’re Alive. This means you have opportunity to create.  You have the opportunity to fix something or break something. Either way, you possess power to do something today.  Be grateful for that.  The opportunity for you is limitless. Rub your hands together like you’re up to something amazing and decide what that will be.

The moment you open your eyes or your alarm goes off, remember this point.

“You got to wake up… and now you get to do what you’re about to do and you get to experience with all your senses this life in this moment.”

Relish in that fact for a moment and don’t forget to smile with gratitude. Listen to the birds chirping or whatever sounds are around you and remember to stay grateful.

2. Remember your purpose.

Get grounded. Meditate.  Go out in nature.  Take some deep breaths. Do whatever you do to connect to your true self, that reminds you of your connection to everything. Remind yourself of your spiritual connection to a Greater Power, Your Higher Light, God.

It’s not about your To Do list right now, it’s about remembering the what you are list.

3. Affirmations

Affirmations have been shown to have powerful affects on manifesting. It puts you in a healthier state of mind. Don’t just say them to yourself… feel them as truths.

Here are a few good ones;

  • I am worthy.
  • I am a powerful being of God.
  • I am worthy of my dreams and goals.
  • I am attracting to myself the people and opportunities in my life that will help me manifest my goals and dreams.
  • I am worthy of all that I desire, it allows me to do more good for others.

Have at least 5 you write out for yourself, say to yourself and internalize. If you need some more good ones. Comment below.

4. Old school book

Don’t touch the digital device for at least the first 30 minutes of the morning. Studies have shown that reading for 5 minutes stimulates creative portions of your brain. Read something that is expanding your knowledge on a specific topic.

The first few minutes of your morning are important. Your brain is highly influential and creatively creating at this Theta state.

5. Workout

Working out in the morning is one of the most powerful things you can do in the morning. Why? Because it makes you feel good. A natural by product is confidence throughout your day.

Some people prefer to work out in the evening and in my opinion it doesn’t matter so long as you “get it in”. I enjoy working out in the evenings too depending on the day of the week.

Working out at least 5 days a week strengthens your brain power, builds your confidence and provides you ultimate natural energy.

We do not have to die slowly when we can live young longer. 40’s and 50’s are no longer considered old. It’s mid life. You should have another 40-50 healthy years to go. So live it with energy. We have the ability to impact the look, feel, and performance of our bodies. So make sure you are getting in high intensity trainings and routines to your day so that you can live vibrantly longer.

6. Journal

There is power in writing. Every day try to aim to write or journal. Either release thoughts that have your brain bogged down or write down intentions and affirmations for your life.   This daily habit can be hard to keep up, I know. But if you keep a journal near to your daily calendar it almost forces you to write down some thoughts. Force yourself.  Even if the only thing you write is….

“I love myself and I am grateful to be alive.”

6.  Action Planner

Your planner should have your goals and the things you are working towards.   You should never lose sight of the prize.  Most people write down goals and then forget to do things towards it because every day work gets in the way.

Have a planner you can go to every day that allows you to have everything in one location. Your goals and your day’s tasks as you chip away at them.

Don’t lose sight of the prize of your long and short term goals by having and keeping them accessible in an organizer or action planner.   Look at your goals every single morning.

To our beautiful lives,
